Mysore lost two senior personalities in the death of Mr.R.V.Srinivasa Murthy and Mr. B.S.Nagaraja Rao.

Raa.Vem.Srinivasa Murthy, Proprietor of Shakthi Electric Press, died in Mysore on the afternoon of May 28. The last rites took place in the evening. He is survived by wife, four sons and a daughter. Besides being the printing press owner and publisher, Mr. Murthy had served as Chief Editor of State Adult Education Council. He was a member of the Managing Committee of the Sarada Vilasa Educational Institution. The Managing Committee has expressed its grief over the demise of its senior member.

Mr. B.S.Nagaraja Rao, Journalist, passed away at his Bangalore residence after a brief illness on May 27. He was the Editor of now defunct "Arathi" Kannada daily. He was the Hon. Secretary of Vani Vidya Mandira in Vidyaranyapuram and President of Saptharishi Co-operative Society, Jayanagar. He had also served as the Treasurer of Mysore District Kannada Sahithya Parishat.
